My car was absolutely FLYING at this event! I don't know if it was because I changed my O2 sensors ("check engine" light codes at the ProSolo), or if the course just favored a V8 Mustang, or if I was just "In the Zone".

I've been trying to beat Steve Sucsy in his '00 Honda S2000 for over a year now (he has won the year-long points championships for the last 6 years in a row!), and I've only been able to beat his raw time by 3 tenths of a second at an event last year, but during his runs it had sprinkled just a tad, so I couldn't legitimately say that I ran faster than him, because my runs were completely dry. I'd thought that the only way that I would be able to win an event overall is if he didn't show up for some reason.

Well... at THIS race there were no excuses... no changing weather conditions, he didn't hit any cones on his best run, and he said his car was running really fast through the course... and I beat him by OVER a full second (over half a second PAX)!!! This was enough to get me 1st place overall (out of 37). This has got to be my best autocrossing accomplishment to date! It also made me feel a little bit better about coming in last at the ProSolo.
